XCOR TECHNOLOGY XCOR is the result of a multi-year research and development project. Specially developed for use in our irons, the patented polymer material is incredibly soft and explosive. It is extremely compressible and enables more movement of the clubface and a gigantic sweet spot. ULTRA-THIN HITTING SURFACE Made from high-strength HT1770 maraging steel and only 0.058" (~1.55 mm) thin, PXG presents the thinnest face in golf. Combined with our proprietary XCOR technology, the ultra-thin face offers incredible forgiveness and the best C.O.R. performance yet! 5x FORGED Each iron is forged five times from 8620 mild carbon steel, resulting in a tight grain structure that increases strength, extends groove life and improves overall feel and appearance. MILLED BACKside Milling the back of each iron is a high-precision process that reduces the wall thickness more than would be possible by forging alone. This results in a high-performance housing design and improved aesthetics. PRECISION WEIGHTING TECHNOLOGY Precision Weighting Technology, inspired by the outstanding adjustability of our metalwoods and putters showcased in the GEN4 irons, features a large weight located near the centre of gravity at the back of the club head. The weight can be adjusted in 2-gram increments during a fitting to allow golfers different configurations of club head weight for optimal personalised performance.
