The Approach Z82 GPS laser rangefinder provides precise golf course information with a range of up to 410 metres. Data on more than 41,000 golf courses worldwide is pre-installed so that you can play anywhere in the world. The device uses GPS to automatically recognise which golf course you are on. The Flag Finder enables you to find and aim at the flag. Once the flag has been detected, you receive vibration feedback and the exact distance to the flag. In the map overlays, you can see the shape of the green, no matter where you are on the course. You also get the exact distances to the hole and to the front, centre and back of the green. Quickly scroll through the individual hazards and layup distances on the map to see how far away they are. This allows you to play over obstacles more easily. PlaysLike distances take into account the elevation profile of the course and help you to better estimate uphill or downhill clubs. So you can hit the perfect club on any terrain. Thanks to the PinPointer, you know where the hole is during tee-off, even if you can't see it directly. This also makes blind clubs much easier. The Garmin Golf app gives you access to information on wind direction and speed. This makes it easier for you to select your club. A light symbol on the device indicates when tournament mode is activated. This means you can also use the rangefinder during a tournament. New features compared to the previous Approach Z80 model:
