The Mizuno MP20 MMC iron set is the second generation of Mizuno's multi-material concept and features a thinner topline and refined scoring irons.

Layer by layer sensation
Like the muscleback, the MMC is also forged from a single piece of 1025E carbon steel using the Grain-Flow HD process. The steel is encased in a soft copper coating, which has been coated with a nickel-chrome alloy, delivering unprecedented feel and feedback.

Stability in the Tour profile
In contrast to the MP20 Muscle Back, the MMC model uses titanium and tungsten to make the iron even more playable. The titanium is used in the muscle area and on the one hand distributes the weight when striking the ball off-centre, and on the other hand maintains the thickening in the centre for that typical muscle back feeling. A 12 gram, high density tungsten weight is installed in the 4-7 irons in the tip of the club head for easier ball launch and a compact profile.

Dramatically thinner topline
In response to demand from the Tour, the 4-iron has been slimmed down by 0.3mm and the pitching wedge by 0.4mm (compared to the MP-18 MMC series). This makes it less than 1 mm thicker than the MP-20 muscleback at the point of impact.

Mixed satin/mirrored finish
The chrome finish eliminates high-gloss areas at the point of impact.
